Firefox 3 Web browser is now out as free download
Mozilla Firefox 3 has been released. Available for Windows, Mac OS X and Linux in 46 different localisations, Firefox 3 is the most major Mozilla browser release since the launch of Firefox 2 in October 2006 and represents the culmination of over three years work.
The primary advantage that most people will enjoy is the sheer speed. It's a heck of a lot faster than Firefox 2 and it uses a lot less memory so it won't slow down all the other programs that you're using. Firefox 3 includes enhancements to help users organize their frequently visited Web sites and block access to sites known to distribute viruses and other malicious software.
