To Know Your Vista Activation Status
There is a utility in Windows Vista that will help you check the status of activation of your computer:
1.Click on start,type in CMD and press enter
Windows Vista also equipped with a Software Licensing Manager (SLMgr) command-line based scripting tool that can help to check and verify the activation status or license status of installed Vista.
2. This can be done by typing "slmgr -xpr" in the command prompt opened.This will show expiration date of current license if your vista copy is not activated and if it is activated then it would show the following.
There are more two command that would display license information.
slmgr.vbs -dli
slmgr.vbs -dlv
A new window will pop-up and it will display your Windows Vista License Activation Status
